We got a tacit agreement for the building permits for the apartments, the restaurant and the
The apartments are so large, that there likely needs to be a soundness study for the building to make sure that the underlying area is sturdy enough.
We have an advantage regarding the undercity because we have a book from the god of Hollow (the city that Nexus is built on top of)
There’s a major sewage line that was damaged and flooded. It goes along the line between Firewander and Bastion districts.
Fortifier helps Dreamflower write an Environmental Impact Plan basically for shoring up the sewage line.
We got 17 successes on the final roll, which is awesome.

Guildmistress Wandry is in the audience sitting near Nurlissa.
Unusual since we thought Wandry was the Astrologer

She has new scars. Fortifier asks about this. She encountered some people in aqua and gold who thought she had money. They got talked down, but one seemed very

We also thought that the Midday Husband is Lord Ember, but Mercenary Lord Ember is away from Nexus right now.
Fortifier uses Celestial Overseer Concordat

"Does the Astrologer’s Business interfere with my own?"
"Yes, they absolutely are."
Fortifier whispers to Dreamflower that these councilors might be disingenuous, but if we can at least get them to start the project, then we can straighten the project back out later if they try to make a crooked deal.
The councilors call us forward to present our plan (17 successes works great).
The Doctor seems to be the swing vote. The
Fortifier makes a speech to the Doctor about how helping the least among us helps the whole city

Stelsor uses Illimitable Master Fence. Asks who is the most connected to crime.
Tie between the Astrologer and the Midday Husband.
Fortifier announces to the council that he could provide the specialized expertise for the project.
The Doctor is very amenable to this and silences the other two councilors.

After the meeting, Fortifier tells Stelsor that we are pretty certain the Astrologer is working for the Guild, but we might want to tail the Midday Husband to find out who they are or who they’re involved with.
Scene: Stelsor shadows the Astrologer and Midday Husband
The Astrologer and Midday Husband leave together with 4 Black Arrow mercenaries with them.
They cross the courtyard to the back of the building.
Then they have the Arrows wait at a residence while the two councilors enter a sewer grate.
They encounter mortals of the local thieves guild, Ghosts of the Timeless Order of Manacle & Coin.
This underground crime market is close to Liveeasy.
Stelsor loses the two imposters in the crowd.
Party
Stelsor introduces Fortifier to Countess Wadine, an Ascendant (priest caste) Infernal and his old girlfriend.
Wadine takes an interest in Fortifier, particularly that he’s running his own cult though it is dedicated to rebuilding and reinforcing social order.
Fortifier presents the Silverclaws with a blank book so they can keep a log during their caravan travels. They accept it very graciously.

Fortifier gets the impression that Nyeah and Steele Cast are having a lover’s quarrel. Nyeah accuses Steel of flirting with Minx. Fortifier backs out of this since the argument is over their relationship and not the supernatural things that Fortifier’s been responsible with.
(“Coward” Wadine comments)
Turns out Wadine has been invisibly shadowing Fortifier as he moves around the party.
Storyteller explains Wadine is an Infernal priest of iconoclasm and rebellion, so she is fascinated by Fortifier, who is also a priestly character but one focused on rigid structures.
We thought a bunch about how Fortifier could shake Wadine, since Fortifier doesn’t really know how to deal with this. Fortifier’s player floats the idea that The Mordant of Waning Shades, an Abyssal priest, might be a suitable target for Wadine’s interests.
