Among the circles of Isturian high society, a certain name is well-known with polarising opinions. He is either beloved and adored, a true philanthropist and advocate of the working class. Or he is a nasty, cold, calculating person, a venomous serpent who watches and waits before striking with deadly precision. This name is Zeresh Akhmarov.

Motivation
Zeresh is self-centred and craves power. He will use any means necessary to acquire what he desires, regardless of the consequences. However, he always manages to keep his hands clean, expertly manipulating others to do his bidding.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
It is a well-known fact that Zeresh is adept at the art of manipulation. He can always pull the right strings and press the right buttons. He will either sweet-talk or intimidate whoever he needs to if it will put him in an advantageous position.
After this, he is also a very competent performer, a neat scribe, a compelling storyteller and a talented musician. As a member of nobility, he has comprehensive knowledge on history and science, and has been taught all the most basic forms of combat, specialising with the glaive and the longsword. This has helped to make him a popular member of society and made sure he is placed in the right circles.
One area he lacks, however, is that nobody is ever able to get close to him. He sees emotional connections as a weakness, and so he has deprived himself of them, never allowing any individual to develop a relationship of any kind with him.

His entire life has been spent schmoozing the right people, greasing the right palms and attending the right parties. He has made sure that he possesses an extensive repertoire or contacts and allies (and people who just may possess some value to him). In particular, he has made good friends of many Hearthkeepers, the council of individuals that governs the capital city of Vol Khadiroth.

I picked this article for my Summer Reading ^^ Be still my blackened, evil heart. A performer, scribe, storyteller, and a musician? And nobility? Is it really manipulation if you just wanna do whatever the guy says anyway? Doesn’t matter that he’s an emotionally unavailable ice prince. That doesn’t deter me in the slightest! On a more serious, less crazy note, I really do like these sort of ‘excels at so much’ characters. They’re the ones I love writing with and reading things about. Dunno what it is, but it’s my jam.
