Colonel-Commissar

A rather peculiar title, only meant to exist during the founding of one or more regiments, to give temporary power to the commissar over his foundees, as he instructs them into the nuances of command and the intricacies of their regiments.

A few examples have occurred where such an officer retained the title for longer periods, or even obtained it multiple times during their careers. Such officers often gain great trust both at the commissariat level, and within the upper echelons of Imperial Guard command, as they are made much more familiar with their own responsibilities, as well as their counterparts.

For instance, this is the only time when a Commissar will be made aware of the full nuances of logistical for their battalion, as the logistical train of the founded regiments is theirs to establish and police.
