The Material plane is not the original plane of existence but the one that all life can thrive- if there was the ability to live in harmony with one another. Created out of one of Kierra's dreams at the time of her death, this is where most of the populations fled. This specific map was given to the two different groups of heroes by unknown magic, hence why this map mysteriously has markers and points of interest that seem to target people within these groups. Typically, as rare as a world map is, it wouldn't have the minute locations in these different continents- and neither would any of these world maps have The Ether updated on them... This is an entirely different kind of map.
