Tyrane

Area Tyrane is a realm of high mountain and deep open-air caves. It is found at the southern end of the Ormonts range. It has borders with Alevins and Valdoran in the north. In the east, its borders are with Malory and in the south with Narbonnan. Tyrane is the home of the Encrors. A humanoid species with light blue skin who has lived in these mountains for generations, well before the humans arrived in Francalia. They are very wary of the invasive humans and have litttle contact with them. Their skin varies from a pale blue to a much darker blue, and are much taller than humans in general. Their hair is usually white but they can be of the same shades as humans. From their looks, they could have been close cousins to the now extinct ....  who have been assimilated in the human population. They are in general more proficient with magic than humans.- High Mountains and Hidden Valley The Encrors live deep in the high valleys of the Encrors. Unbeknown to their human neighbours, their main cities are found in hidden valleys where magic maintains a balmy climates. In these hidden valleys, they can grow food and keep herds and flocks of animals. In the mountains, they mine for the minerals and gems they need. The Encrors are very good metalworkers. Their metal work is much prized by the humans who have had the rare opportunity to acquire it. - Deep Open CavesThe Encrors have a few settlements outisde the valleys. The life here is more difficult than within the sheltered and warm magic valleys. However, some Encror councils and clans will prefer the life in the high mountains. These councils usually have the duty to protect Tyrane and the valleys. Amidst these tribes can be found the best warriors of the Encrors. The clans of the high mountains are warrior councils who will not suffer intruders gladly. The Encrors have settled in the relative shelter of deep open caves that pepper the mountains of the Ormonts mountains range. The caves are even more extensive than in the Tours Grises. Whole cities can stand undernearth cover of stones. The caves also run deep and much minerals (especially gold) can be found inside the veins of the mountains.The shelter of the caves mean that the Encrors can keep herds of mountain goats for their silken wool and milk, and other herd animals. They also grow cave mushrooms. These Francalian mushroom have many medecinal propterties. The Encrors even make a potent alcohol out of some mushroom variety. As well as mushroom, the cave support species of epyphitic plants  - these plants can only grow in the depth of the caves and need very little light to survive. They are a good source of vitamins and fibre for the Encrors.
