Regions Still Available On Synergasia
Synergasia world cover

Never Too Late

While you may have missed the official "draft day" launch of the Synergasia regions, it is never too late to join our gang of authors. Synergasia I (the first incarnation) still has about 10 regions available. In addition, should we get more authors than we have regions, Synergasia II will be launched. Regions will be the same geographically, but time regions will be changed to keep things fresh.   There's room for as many folks as would like to contribute. So don't wait any longer, jump on in and become one of the Synergists!

What You Should Know

Depending on the genre you select, we'll assign you to a landmass in the world. Similar era genres will probably share landmasses, but you'll have your own space. (For example, Age of Sail, Victorian Steampunk, Gothic Horror may all be in the same region.)   We're not limiting the genres. You want it? You'll get it... somewhere.   We, the Synergists, will periodically release a Prompt (just like summercamp) to ask you to define particular aspects of your piece of the world.   Over time, your work will be added to the Canon Lore of Synergasia, available for reference in future articles by others in your region. That way, in time, you'll get in on the synergy game too!   We're not going to overload you... we'll try one prompt per week to start out. The first few prompts are already released, but there's no deadline. The prompts are to help you build out your world.   Eventually, we may even devise a game rule system to allow rpg play in this world. (We've got some rough ideas, but if somebody wants to tackle that as their contribution, that'd be great too!)   You won't need to worry about styling or CSS stuff. The Synergists will handle the global stuff. But you'll have the chance to customize your piece of the world if you wish.   If there's anything else, we'll figure it out as we go along.

Getting Started

  • Write a brief "Meta" Article describing your piece of the world.
  • What genre best describes what you have in mind?
  • What Mood and Theme do you plan to employ?
  • What time period/development era describes your area?
  • What sort of geography do you need?
  • Are there any Major Conflicts you know you will include?
  • There is no word minimum - just make sure you are giving us enough to "place" you.
  • Please try to keep the article to under 1500 words (but you won't be penalized for going a little bit over).
  • Use the GENERIC template to create the article in your world.
  • Publish it, and make sure it's Public.
  • Place a link to the article in a comment on the We Need You! article.
  • New Newspaper In Synergasia

The powers that be have devised a new way to communicate with the various regions of Synergasia, With permission from Olympus and the help of the firm of RPG&K, The Synergasia Sentinel is now being distributed worldwide.   Using secret technology devised through divination and a great deal of luck, the paper is legible by nearly all sentient beings (and some non-sentient) in their native tongue. Advertisements for services and trade will be considered.

    New Temporal Detector Announced

RPG&K have announced the release of version 1.0 of the Dinohuna Temporal Detector. (DTD v1.0). The DTD is designed to give users a warning when they come within 25 miles of a temporal rift, giving them plenty of time to turn around before they are sucked into a timeless void from which there may or may not be any return.   The company reports that initial tests have been positive, with only minor mishaps. Rumors that a rift opened up and swallowed 17 goats during testing are highly exaggerated.   Orders are now being taken for the detectors. Units are shipping now (not available in regions where magic or technology do not exist.)

    Stringers Sought

The Synergasia Sentinel is seeking writers from all regions to supply stories for the Sentinal.   Stringers must be able to speak all languages of their region as well as the Synergasian common language. Pay is negotiable as long as you are not seeking any pay. You will, however receive exposure and perhaps gain favor with the Olympians. You may also gain pre-release access to new RPG&K products (at your own risk).   If interested, contact the Synergasia Sentinel directly. Do not send resumes, writing samples, tithes or sacrifices. Bribes, however, may be considered.
