Prompt 9 - A Protagonist or Very Important NPC
Create a person that will be a Protagonist in writing for your Region, or a Very Important NPC if you're thinking along game lines. This is the first of a series of prompts that will be related to this character, so just focus on getting the basics down. Over the coming weeks, there will be additional prompts that will give you the opportunity to provide some additional "flavor" to the character you create.
Every story has at least one main character. Every RPG setting has at least one important, persistent Non-Player Character (NPC). So why should your region in Synergasia be any different? The last prompt asked you to create an important historical person; this time we want a current, living character within your setting.
To tell you where this is going, though... There will be a series of additional prompts starting next week that will target very detailed quirks, habits, mannerisms, beliefs, possessions, etc. that will help bring this character to life. By the time you're ready to really start writing, you will hopefully have a very good idea about who this character really is.
Focus on a single person. Feel free to use as many of the standard template prompts as posible. The prompts coming in the future will either address completely different topics or will give you the chance to enhance or refine what you do with the "basic" template.
If you already have your "main character", you may choose to just skip this prompt, or you can create a secondary character - a supporting character, or perhaps a villain. If you're really ambitious, create a couple characters; you'll be able to apply future prompts to any or all of them.
