Peace and quiet

It may seem like pirates party all day every day, and in a way, they do (love your job and you won't ever work, right?), but they have a very demanding and dangerous job.

At the end of an adventure they need to rest and recover of the effect of long journeys and fights—as well as some of their methods to celebrate triumph.
It's always good to just relax, and let my wounds to heal. For some reason I'm always wounded by the end of a good adventure.
— A particularly heedless pirate.

While sleeping for five days in a row is not unheard of, pirates prefer to go out in groups and share relaxing activities, like sunbathing, reading, acupuncture, stargazing, examining clouds and so on.

Observance

The when may seem arbitrary for some pirate crews, while others are precise as a clock, but the basic rule is one and the same: there is always a good season of peace and quiet after any adventure worth of mentioning.

Yes, it may be some chaotic, law-and-bones-breaking party between the adventure and the resting, or a crazy expedition to hide the loot. Sometimes a few temporary or hired allies take they part and leave to have their own fun and rest. Clan members, on the other hand, will usually go together to their favorite relaxing place. Some renown authorities had tried to find those "hiding places", without fully understating their purpose, and some had even managed to capture some pirates that way. Of course, it never helped them to find their treasure.

The spaces the pirates use to to recover from their job's excitement are quite varied, as are they favorite ways to enjoy silence and idle time.

Grandpa's spa
A beautiful resort build around a natural hot spring, were you can enjoy relaxing baths and/or massages while listening nothing but the occasional and distant chirp of birds. Owned by the Part-time pirates clan.

Since they main customers are tourist and they have no security, nobody finds suspicions that they close for a few weeks every time there is word of pirate activity in the area.

The resort is supposed to be deserted during those weeks, but it welcomes the pirates who had just come back home.
Gold beach resort
A hotel built in the remains of a pirate ship in a small island plagued by tourists, historians and treasure hunters. Most of them ignored the beach and visit the distant caves and forests to look for the treasure.
Everybody knows the story about eight generations of captains hiding gold in this island until the ninth heir decided to became a lawyer and the group was disbanded, leaving this ship and part of their treasure behind. The truth that nobody knows is that they decided to move to a spaceship to haunt the universe instead of the seas. Their descendants and new members still come back as guests of the hotel, usually pretending not to know each other, and spend several days sunbathing at the lonely beach.
Libraries
Believe it or not, Pirates know how to read, and several of them enjoy it. Not literature, of course —with exceptions—, but geography, history... weapons, legends... The kind of things they can use to improve their piracy abilities.

Whether they get sleepy, enlightened or comfortable around books, scrolls and databases, sometimes they visit a library just to relax in its silence.

While this method is more used by loners, its not impossible to find a small group of pirates pretending to read in a study room.
