History
Origins
The Yarwycks are an old proud house of First Men heritage and have held Wyckhall since before the coming of the Andals. Some say they retained their house because they did made a deal to allow the Andals past, refusing to hold the Wyckway, others say their prowess in repelling the Andal invaders earned them such esteem they were shown mercy. The truth to this day is unknown.
Targaryen Dynasty
House Yarwyck was like many Westerland houses in attendance for the field of fire, but many of their men survived having been far enough from the center of the lines to feel the heat of Balerion's flame but not suffer for it. After this they were also involved in Aegon's conquest of the Iron Islands and maintained a small force on Great Wyk, suffering endless skirmishes with house Goodbrother before withdrawing when the Riverlanders took over the occupation of the islands.
