The Silver Path

The Mésvéstellian Galaxy

You find a lonely datapad on the ground before you. You pick it up and start it. It flickers to life and showcases this datafile.

General

The Silver Path is the galaxy in which Mésvéstell exists. It’s about 110,000 lightyears across and is estimated to have 550 billion stars. It is a spiral galaxy with six arms and at its center lies a supermassive black hole which is named Saremette.
Formerly under a unified flag, it is, politically, now divided into several Galactic Territories. Mésvéstell is located at the periphery, on the fifth arm of the Silver Path, colloquially known as the Merima Arm.

A rich history

It is clear that the Silver Path has an incredibly rich history that goes back countless millennia. The ruins of ancient, long-dead civilizations are scattered throughout its four spiral arms, all of which are believed to originate from Mésvéstell. The reason as to why these civilizations fell is still up for debate, as some argue that the forces within Eärann only poses a threat on Mésvéstell and not out in space.

Remnants of those long gone

It is rumored to exist remnants of these long-gone civilizations within the Silver Path. But not in regards to ruins, but instead towards living entities, or that which appear living. Possible ancient artificial intelligent entities or alien life-forms that have evolved to survive on inhospitable planets. Enigmatic viruses and necrotic creations that stir in shadows. No true answers exist; thus some wonder if the Imposters are a remnant of a former civilization.
