Sleepiness is the condition that occurs in the body and brain of most living creatures when said being is overwhelmed with fatigue. Despite what may be expected, sleepiness can happen at any time of day for any variety of reasons. Sometimes, one can be sleepy without realizing it. Side effects from sleepiness can sometimes include irritability, frustration, and difficulty thinking or performing tasks. It is dangerous to drive or operate machinery when sleepy. It is not advised to remedy sleepiness with artificial stimulants or other chemicals. The best way to cure sleepiness is to actually allow yourself to get rest. To do this, find a safe place, lie down, close your eyes, and allow yourself to go to sleep. After a snooze, you will be well-rested and ready to continue whatever task is set before you.
Just because this method is not advised does not mean that artificial stimulants are not made available for various reasons. Such things as caffeine are readily accessible to most humans in a variety of forms, from pills to syrups and even hot and cold beverages. Some of these stimulants are regulated, while others are considered normal. Coffee, energy drinks, soda pop, and energy shots can be found almost anywhere humans shop for food and other necessities. Some of these are located in vending machines around headquarters. Just because they are available does not mean their existence is an excuse for you not to get proper rest before accomplishing your missions.
While it is not advised to cure sleepiness through artificial means, sleepiness can sometimes be induced artificially. Poisons and medicines can contain sedatives that lull your brain and body into a restful state. Fighting against the urge to sleep can be a difficult battle, but if in a dire situation, you are encouraged to persist against the desire to rest until you are in a safe location away from any dangers or opposing operatives who may desire to cause you harm.

Commander McCox gives newbies the rundown:   Sleepiness is another one of those conditions that you don't think of as a condition, but, lemme tell you, it's a condition alright. You'd better beware. Sleepiness can strike at any time. And, trust me, you don't want it to strike. So you need to do everything in your power to make sure you are not sleepy while on the job, okay? Especially, if you're an Introductory Intern or Junior Sprout studying for your assignments, you DO NOT want to fall asleep in class. People will make fun of you. AND you won't get the lesson straight. That's a double whammy. I experienced that in my own school days. It wasn't a cool spy school like this one, but it hurt just as bad when I blinked the sleep out of my eyes to the sound of several kids pointing their fingers and laughing at me. I felt so shamed, I didn't want to go to school for a week after that. But I couldn't not go to school, so I just made sure to do the second best thing: go to bed on time from that day forward. I never fell asleep in class again.   But even worse things can happen. If you get knocked out by tranquilizer darts or sleep gas, that's it. If it's an opposing op, you're toast. If it's your own team mate, that's not good. But it does happen sometimes. You know Bruce Machete? He doesn't like to talk about it, but that whole 'work it out in the car' thing with Elsewood was kinda my fault. I'm the one who told him to work it out in the car. I didn't think he'd take it to mean that! But I shoulda known. This is ELSEWOOD we're talkin' about for goodness sake.
