This it the uprising world of Montral, something happened, we don't know what, that caused the island of Montral, previously Montreal, to be cut off. it's now isolated, it had a high standard of living biosculpts, nanotechnology, you name it, now, it has to worry who is making the food...   200 or so years ago, the island was cut off from everyone, no one remaining knows why, but the cost in human lives was dreadful: less than 100000 people remain in a city that housed eight million. Now with 200 years of corruption, graft, isolation, and being unable to make some basic and some not so basic things, society has changed.   The world has become a dystopia where happiness is a crime and civility a severe misdemeanor, two out of every three people are subject to invasive nano-trackers, permanent surveillance or just abuse by those on top. Because of this, small bands of rebels joined "the movement", independants trying to get rid of this corrupt government, and trying to figure out who stole the rest of the planet from under them. The movement really wants to know what happened to the rest of humanity, and if they are the only ones left, la Société doesn't care and just wants bread and circuses to keep hanging on to the status quo longer.
