    This was the beginning of 's efforts to record her writings, "The BlackHawk Chronicles," online, and the beginning of the first draft of a now-abandoned book written for NaNoWriMo 2004 during college.   The blog would take the place of the assorted 3 1/4 inch encrypted floppy disks and hard copies printed with size 8 font and hole punched in a binder currently housing the novel begun in 1998.

    This story was about five people sucked into an alternate universe through a video game, and was heavily inspired by the book Interstellar Pig by William Sleator. The theme is common now, but this book was the closest I had read to that trope at the time.   While the novel has since been abandoned, largely because my writing and imagination have outgrown the plot, the characters remain. Most will not make an appearance in Vazdimet until the series' planned after Lira's trilogy, which I have been referring to in my notes as "The Travelers".

    discovers WorldAnvil, and creates the fantasy world of Fillimet, with intention to return to writing. A second world, "Raventail Chronicles," is created after, intended as the new home of the science fiction world currently housed on the Universal War Blog.

    Kyanite Challenge Announced

    The Kyanite Challenge is announced, offering a chance to enter a prose novelette for a chance to win the top prize of a publishing contract.   was nursing her youngest in the Mother's Room in Knoebel's Amusement Park on a trip with her parents when she checked her phone and saw the news. For the next several months, this was her driving force for her worldbuilding, reawakening her dreams to someday publish her writing.   This led to her first lengthy piece of prose in a long time, A Blossom in the Storm. This will someday be reworked into a novel, or potentially a series, set in the era of FIllimet.
