Griolko

The griolko is a mystical fae that assumes the form of a panther-sized, long-furred cat. It can have any natural coloration but apart from its size, the defining feature of griolkos is the third eye in the middle of its forehead. These genderless fae regard mortalkind with passive amusement, uncaring one way or another what happens to them. It is said that those who stare into the eye on its forehead will forever be lost to madness. However, if one is polite and observes all correct customs, a griolko may just grant a desire, if you voice it. Beware, for even among fae griolko are far removed from an understanding of mortals. Choose your words wisely, or the heart of the girl you desired may appear bloody and warm in your hand...
Among fae, griolko are oft regarded with fear and mistrust. These wild creatures do not partake in fae society like others do, though clearly possessing enough intelligence to enact their will if they chose to. Instead, griolko will hunt smaller and weaker fae, using their third eye to enchant their prey into madness. Rendered helpless by their insanity, it is all the easier to catch them.
