1st Generation Celestial

Within the Nexus there are plenty of groups that could be mistaken for being Divine Beings. Pretty much any entity above Iota becomes capable of pulling feats that would very quickly make any uninformed race of primitives worship them as their God. Though the fact is they aren't gods. In fact, even those as powerful as Management themselves do not qualify as Divine Beings. Which begs the question, what does qualify as a divine being? The answer to that question is both deceptively simple, and insanely complex at the same time. Would you like to find out the answer?

Basic Information

Anatomy

Celestial Beings have a completely malleable Anatomy. They have been said to have two separate forms they always have access to. A Humanoid form that is easier for us to comprehend, and a true form that is based on what the Celestial chooses it to be. Both forms can be changed and altered on the whim of the Celestial in question. At this time, it is entirely unknown if the Celestials have any rules or limitations regarding this form shift, nor what said limitations would be if they did exist. When it comes to the humanoid form, most Celestials will almost always have a set of energetic wings behind them that radiate the energy the particular Celestials presides over unless, of course, they choose to conceal them.

Genetics and Reproduction

It is entirely unclear how Celestials reproduce. It was initially theorized that they couldn't do so. Still, after the birth of Aurora AI and Janet Delacruz-Watch and the discovery of Edenia's true origins, this theory has all but been disproven. However, it's still not clear how this species would reproduce under normal circumstances due to exactly how the Celestials came into existence, to begin with.

Growth Rate & Stages

Celestials are not born in the same way as other species. As the Celestial Grand Scientist Damien explained it to me:

Each of us Celestials are Embodiments of various fundamental concepts of reality. We weren't born like those today because we were born from those concepts.

The first generation of Celestials came to be completely from the concepts they are the embodiment of, Thesis being born from the first act of creation, Perses being formed from the first act of destruction, and Chronos being born from the formation of linear time. While this is true for the initial birth of the Celestial in question, according to Damien, it is possible to use a specialized piece of equipment known as an Advanced Energy Incubator to resurrect a Celestial from the energy they embody, making it, so the Celestials are impossible to truly kill off.

Behaviour

While the Celestials are seemingly entirely humble and kind to those of the Modern Era today, The Celestial Grand Scientist Damien has revealed that they weren't always this way. Damien on the Celestials PreFall

We held power beyond comprehension, knew everything there was under the sun, and created all that existed before the Nexus. But even with all that power and knowledge, it took losing everything to teach us the greatest lesson of all. To teach us Humility.

. According to Damien and Sephiron, the Celestials once held a patently Celestial Ego and were beyond arrogant. They also didn't feel like they had any reason to better themselves, as they were already at the peak of what they could do. There were 3 known exceptions to this, Sephiron's protegees Damien and Haniel did not share this lack of drive to improve, and neither did Lil's Protegee Erebus.

Additional Information

Average Intelligence

All of the 1st Gen Celestials have been shown to have intellect scores that are completely and utterly off the charts, and even though the 2nd Generation onward have intellect scores that can be quantified, even they have insanely high Intellect scores that far surpass even Merlin and Diana May in their levels of Genius. Even the Chairman himself, a 3rd Gen Celestial scored over 125 Quintillion on their Intellect.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

While it is unclear how perception works when it comes to all Celestials, we can make some inferences based on the Celestials we have observed holding extrasensory abilities. Mnemosyne and Metis have been shown to quickly contact anyone from any distance by either inserting a memory into the target or downloading the needed info directly into the target's mind. Almost all Celestials have been shown to have telepathic capabilities with an unlimited range, though this may be because of how powerful each and every Celestial is.

Civilization and Culture

Major Organizations

While the Celestials rarely ever made themselves known to those of the 5th Race before wɛslaɪ̯ toʊ̯ loʊ̯, one particular Celestial has been hiding in plain sight since the very start: The Chairman of the Collective, Damien.

Average Technological Level

The Celestials are the only group on record to reach Type XX on the completed TCTACS scale, the theoretical ceiling for how advanced any group can become.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

While the Celestials do in fact speak Common these days, their primary langauge is actually an obscure Dialect of Zaeni, known only as Ancient Zaeni.

History

The History of the Celestials is both the most well-known history and, at the same time, the least well-known out of all species on record. This Paradoxical understanding of their history is possible due to the role they have played in shaping the mythos of the modern era. Our current knowledge of their time can be traced to these myths and legends. We do know some things for certain, though. The Celestial's homeworld was called the Core of Eden, which we know today as The Garden. Long before the metaverse had ever formed, a great cataclysm occurred, forcing the Celestials to abandon their home and for the entrance to the Garden to be sealed off forever. This cataclysm can be found mentioned in various different mythos throughout the ages, the most well-known being located in the Book of Genesis. Unfortunately, due to the fact the true history of the Core has been lost, we have no way of knowing what actually caused the Fall. Ever since the Fall, though, the Celestials stayed hidden from sight until Merlin rediscovered them during the Shattering.
