Luna

Twin of Dusk

Twin of Dusk

First created of all divine beings, Luna is the Twin of Dusk, created together with Yuna, the Twin of Dawn. In contrast to their twin, Luna represents darkness, chaos, change, and evil. They are associated with the moon, finality, death, fire, wind, and midnight. Luna is often draped in darkness and shadow, unable to be easily identified, causing a distinct discomfort wherever they go. When mortals find themselves in the presence of the Twin of Dusk, they may find themselves struggling to speak or think clearly due to their discordant aura. In mortal art, Luna is depicted as a gentle, androgynous spirit or saint, draped in robes of violet and moonlight. Despite the tendency of The Ten Divines to interact very little in mortal affairs, Luna remains a popular inspiration for many rebels to tradition, revolutionary spirits, and sowers of discord, as well as those who find their place in the shadows, outside of the so-called light of civilization.

The Seed of Chaos

As the ultimate patron of chaos and evil, Luna is seen as the origin of all kinds of evil, chaos, disorder, and cosmic disruptions. The race of demons, many goblinoids and fey peoples, and even many subraces of the Elves were originally given life by the Twin of Dusk. Wherever Yuna has laid the groundwork of stability and order, Luna has not been far behind to destroy what has been preordained and allow for change and ambition to take hold in the souls of mortals. While some may imagine Luna merely a force of destruction, in truth, the Twin of Dusk is what brings about the energy of change and new beginnings. The races of mortals and infernals born from their darkness are those who seek to create new possibilities and feel suffocated under the weight of tradition. Luna also created Tiamat, the five-headed dragon deity, as well as the chromatic dragons, populating the continent to spread discord and inspire change wherever they go.

Artifacts

Moonshadow Daggers

Twin daggers with obsidian blades that possess an ethereal glow, reminiscent of the moon's pale light. The Moonshadow Daggers are favored by assassins and shadowdancers who seek to embody Luna's attributes of stealth and confusion. When wielded in the dark, the daggers seem to blend with the shadows, enhancing the wielder's ability to move unseen. They also have the ability to inflict lingering wounds that disrupt the flow of life force, leaving the target sensorily feeble.

Duskblade

A sleek and slender longsword created from Luna's void-like essence. Each arc of the blade leaves a trail of gloomy darkness. When Duskblade cuts through a foe, it inflicts devastating wounds that refuse to heal by common magic. As well, its wounds cause discord and doubt to creep into the soul of the victim, it is said those slain by the blade will never be able to find peace, wandering lost through the afterlife forever.

Pandemonium

The most evil bow in creation. A shadowy weapon cloaked in a mysterious darkness that shrouds its true appearance to all but the wielder and their patron, Pandemonium is forged of pure darkness and is powered by the souls of the dead. It is said each of its arcane ammunition is a fallen soul who once served the Twin of Dusk.
