Sandman
King Sandman “Sandy” Mansnoozie became part of the Guardians sometime after Nicholas. He is the Lord of Sleep and Dreams. Being a Master of Dreams, he lives somewhere on Earth although where is a secret.
He is an immortal and mystical being officially known by his title: His Nocturnal Majesty, King Sanderson Mansnoozie of the Realm of Sleep and of Dreams. Sandman is the only Guardian that doesn’t physically speak.
A lot of information is left unknown about Lord Sandman Mansnoozie. Where is he from? Did he have a life before like many Guardians? Many other questions are not answered. But he did have one thing in common with other Guardians: A desire and love to care for the children of Earth.
The only thing required of him was to care for the children so Ancient Power can endure! And all feel he’s done a great job!
What is Dreamsand?
Dreamsand is often seen in a little sack. However, it is not always bagged. Lord Sandman utilizes his dream powers through his Dreamsand. The sand is also used for him to communicate by forming images over above his head. Every stream of the sand is a good dream in the making and if exposed, it can ensure a good night’s sleep.Powers and Abilities
Dream Embodiment: King Sandman is the embodiment of dreams. He protects the dreamers and affects dreams in a positive way. His power enables him to crush nightmares and turn them into dreams. Dream Manipulation “Oneirokinesis”: King Sandman is able to create, shape, and manipulate the dreams of oneself and others. He is able to observe dreams and turn nightmares into dreams. He can bestow and modify dreams and promote spiritual/emotional healing within dreams. Dream Creation and Inducement (Good Dreams): Lord Sandman via the Dreamsand induces good dreams for a good night’s rest. Nightmare Negation: Dreamsand suppresses children’s nightmares as a defensive mechanism for their hope of a better world. Sleep Embodiment: Lord Sandman is the personification of sleep. He can even induce and manipulate sleep at the same time. Sleep Inducement under Sleep Manipulation “Somnokinesis”: With his sand, Lord Sandman can manipulate the sleep patterns of children and adults.
