Effect

The caster speaks a brief message, no longer than a couple of dozen words, and focus on a specific individual that they already know to some degree. The target hears the message telepathically and, if they are able to speak, they may reply in the same way. The receiver automatically knows who the message is from and can decide to dismiss it without listening. It doesn't matter which plane the individuals are on.

Manifestation

There are many different implementations of this spell. Gods often grant it to their more trusted servants who will say a prayer over a symbol of their faith and then state the message. Arcane practitioners have found patterns to follow in the Weave that achieve very similar effects. The latter often include drawing glowing glyphs in the air to properly define the target of the spell.

Materials: a short piece of fine copper wire

Duration: 1 round

You send a short message of twenty-five words or less to a creature with you are familiar. The creature hears the message in its mind, recognizes you as the sender if it knows you, and can answer in a like manner immediately. The spell enables creatures with Intelligence scores of at least 1 to understand the meaning of your message.
You can send the message across any distance and even to other planes of existence, but if the target is on a different plane than you, there is a 5 percent chance that the message doesn’t arrive.
