Lignum Species in Lost Waves | World Anvil

Lignum

These serpents are a form of dragons, from an on-offshoot with no wings, and long bodies that float on the Weave rather than use wings for flight. In the case of the lignum, its scales are made of wood which makes it very able to hide and only attack when it's hungry or needs to defend its lair. For the most part, it will try to get the upper hand through trickery. And if they like the one approaching well enough, they might well show themselves and share what wisdom they have.   For the times the lignum needs to defend itself, it can summon a cascade of electricity that travels along its body and striging against targets in its path.
