Druidic Language in Lost Waves | World Anvil

Druidic

The druidic language isn't so much a language as it is a shared collection of stories and legends. This is also how the language shifts over distances, but the stories the language builds on are so ancient that they have travelled across the world. And many times, the actual stories are lost even to the druids and only the meaning of a word or phrase remains.   The stories told amongst druidic circles are often about what happens in nature and meaningful ways nature has provided. Thus, while Druidic has no proper written languages, messages can be left in nature by referencing stories just as spoken words can do the same. It might even be difficult for those who don't know what they're looking for to notice that there is a message at all. Of course, this might also mean that they unintentionally ruin part of the message by disturbing it.
