Chromatia is also known as the Central City of Leela, and is known throughout time to be the font of civilization on this continent. In previous ages, Chromatia was a small settlement surrounding a powerful vortex of energy known as the Triquetra. Over time, its power became well known, and the tribes of the world fought for control of the portals here. Chromatia the city rose and fell through the generations, held by various factions, kings and queens of various courts attempted to hold sway over the power. But politics turned to violence, and a vicious war waged across the entire land of Leela. Many were lost in this great war. Eventually the Magi of Ixen ignited a spell of great destruction upon the southlands, in an attempt to rid the world of their enemies. This moment, now known as the Catalysm, shook the world. None felt safe from such violence. It was then the Goddess Leela was told to have returned, stepping through the Dream Portal from a land of prismatic light. As the legends and history scrolls say, she was able to end the war, and bestowed upon the world relics of incredible power to help balance that which had been out of harmony. To Chromatia, she bestowed her greatest gift - the Empty Throne. Enchanted by her love and wisdom, no singular power was able to control the city or the Triquetra. Instead, the people were given what they wanted - magic poured through the land, abundant food and clean water was available for all, and a land wrecked with violence began to remember the feeling of peace and prosperity once again. The Golden Age of Leela had begun, and the city of Chromatia flourished.
