The similarities between landamaeris and Terrans are pretty well-known back home. It's thought that we probably evolved on worlds with similar climates and ecological situations, and as a result of that both ended up with fairly similar general body and brain plans. In terms of things that are similar, you've got all the obvious stuff: both races have two arms, two legs, five fingers and five toes, etcetera.   The first major divergence is in our appearances. Terrans don't have any plumage or body patterns; which I think is because their world had a lot of predators and so that kind of thing wouldn't have been very viable when they were evolving. So without clothes on, they're pretty much just some shade of pink or brown all over, more or less. Our base skintones are surprisingly similar once again - though I think some of us can be a little bit paler than they can naturally, a bit like that condition some of them can get; albinism, I think they call it? - but obviously, when we're unclothed, our bodies are covered in patterns that match the colours of our feathers.   They seem to grow a lot more body hair than we do on average. Landamaeris don't grow hair on our heads at all, only feathers; but we do grow it further down, on our arms and legs and - if you're unlucky - chest and back as well. We do unfortunately still grow beards for whatever reason, which curses us with the need to shave, but thank whatever deity might be out there that we don't grow moustaches. The thought of having hair growing directly on your face like that sounds awful, ugh. I guess we do still have Terran hair for eyebrows though, and that's already annoying enough.   Oh, right, also: Beyond our feathers and markings, the other big external difference I'm aware of is in our two species' ears. Terran ears are small and round and... kind of weird looking, with all those ridges and stuff. Ours are just long and feathered and stick out more. I think ours also hear better than theirs do, though that's kind of hard to gauge without any actual studies (which would be hard to do seeing as they don't know we exist.)   On an internal level, there are a lot of dietary differences. Firstly, from what I've seen, Terrans don't seem to eat seeds much of the time- which strikes me as really weird; I guess maybe the ones on the world they evolved on weren't very tasty?- and they also don't go for nuts all that much; which is honestly even weirder. They do eat a fair bit of fruit, though, which is good I guess- but also apparently tons of vegetables? Ueegghhh. For all that we look similar, that clearly does not extend to taste buds, because egh. Then again, I know some of us do choose to eat vegetables, but that's just as incomprehensible to me. Oh, right; they also don't need to- and apparently can't eat rocks for digestive purposes. Despite this, I've heard talk of them getting cravings for them anyway? I certainly don't blame them; I can't imagine not being able to munch on rocks.   Beyond that, I don't really know enough about Terran biology to make other comparisons. They seem to live anywhere from 60 to about 100 years, which is pretty close to the 80 to 120 we average (I think their average lifespan is only lower than ours because of poor nutrition, from what I've heard?), they reproduce the same way as us, and they seem to have all the same 'social animal' behaviours we do. They also pack bond with inanimate objects, do hierarchies, compete over mates when they could just share them, and are generally a nuisance like that.
