Humanity always dreamed of interacting with aliens. When no aliens arrived to Earth, humans decided to take matters into their own hands and to travel themselves to new planets. There, they become the aliens to meet other people, the technologically advanced society invading other worlds.

But humans did not confine themselves to physical worlds; they also discovered an access to a dimension of dreams. Of course, they immediately started to transform and adapt it for their own needs and entertainment. Thus, Altrea dimension was born. Will they manage to mess it up?

When humanity finally reached the stars, they found out that they were the first civilization to get out of their Solar System. They found many other civilizations, but most of them barely managed to send machines into space and some did not want to meet others. Humanity became the aliens that meet other civilizations and conquered the stars.

Its been a long time since them, humanity and other civilizations now coexist. Now, empires own multiples solar systems, planets are being mined for its resources or are being terraformed to host life. The expansion of life across the Milky Way is in its apogee.

Earth and the Sol System, have been left as a sanctuary, a land of no-one, a natural reserve, a home. Some humans stayed on it, as its caretakers, and visitors are carefully watched over, specially from other species.

And then, the Altrea dimension has been discovered. A dimension that seemingly only humans can access, a dimension that they can mold at will and that has been taken over and controlled with technology.

Solar Systems

Owners of the systems

The galaxy is too big to be conquered or explored, so all explored solar systems are not too far away from the original system of Sol. In this intersolar expansion, groups of people raised to conquer these systems and so, the explored systems nowadays are controled by 8 different empires:

XX - one of the oldest, shown in yellow in the map.

XX - one of the oldest, shown in light blue in the map.

XX - one of the oldest, shown in green in the map.

XX - the most recent, shown in red in the map.

XX - the one with less humans in it, shown in pink in the map.

XX - eager to expand, have caused a war or two to obtain systems, shown in purple in the map.

The Golden Plutocracy - they do not interact much with other empires, shown in dark blue in the map.

XX - they focus on research and conservation of species, shown in orange in the map.

Sol System

The cradle of humanity, home.

A solar system with a yellow star that's around the middle of its lifespan, orbited by 8 planets, two belts, and 5 dwarf planets.

It is now considered a natural reserve. People in here are the so called "Protectors of Sol" and work to restore the planets to their best moments. They are mostly humans, other civilizations are rare to be found in this system.

A Solar System with a dwarf star, reaching the end of its life, orbited by 5 planets, two belts, and 7 dwarf planets.

The system holds no life, but has a lot of valuable metals and building resources. It has been a mining system since it has been reached.

Altrea Dimension

Altrea is a dimension that can be naturally accessed through drugs and dreams, and only humans can access. It is now commonly accessed with the help of technology. It is a place where humans can mold everything at their will, but it has now been controlled with technology and humans cannot mold at will anymore, they now need to use the programs that they have attached to this dimension to edit things.

The dimension is divided into rooms and hallways. The user would appear in the so called "Hall", their own room, where they will always appear in. From there, they can travel to other rooms with the help of the hallways.

The rooms can be a lot of things, from amusement parks to videgames and even zoos or museums.

Without the help of technology, these rooms were isolated and it was impossible to get out of your Hall. The hallways, made with technology, allowed people to go to other rooms and meet other people in Altrea.

A dimension that only humans can access, where they can mold things at their will. It has been modified with technology and has been adapted to being of easy use and accessible.

Civilizations

Humans

The first civilization to reach other solar systems and to meet other civilizations. They are driven by curiosity and tend to categorize everything. They are known for their resilience, their violent tendencies, and usefulness. Having a human on your vessel is believed to be good luck.

While in their history they have not been friendly to different people, they have only learned to be more inclusive since the meeting of new civilizations, but there are still radical groups believing in the pureness of their "race" and that humans are the prime civilization.
