Blue-Eyes is known for her beauty and captivating presence, but she is not the soft creature that many imagine her to be before meeting her. Neither is she tall nor particularly commanding, but there is a strength in the way that she carries herself and a sharpness in her eyes that demands respect.
Personality
Because of her charm and talent at deception, it is difficult to determine what Blue-Eyes' true personality is like. She offers hospitality to anyone upon first meeting them, but when she decides that someone has worn out their welcome, the switch comes quickly and without warning. Her demeanor is subtle and so many of her gestures seem genuine, but her superior had trusted her entirely when she'd suddenly turned on him to relieve him of his life and place as leader of the city.
History
Growing up in slavery, the only name she had ever been known by was Blue-Eyes. Her early life was exceptionally difficult as she was moved from place to place, serving under several different masters as she made her way across the kingdom. Very few details are known of her time before arriving in Gillan's Well, aside from rumor and the few vague answers that she herself has ever given about her younger life. Several of these rumors hint that she had been aware of and had used her strange abilities to help her survive and travel from place to place, but she has never been coaxed into answering directly about the supernatural things she seems to be able to do.
In Gillan's Well, she spent time both as a freelance and owned prostitute, before finally catching the eye of the Mayor himself. There are claims that she sought him out intentionally, already planning her coup, but she has said that she had been trying to break free of that life entirely and his attention had dragged her into a place she couldn't escape. She claims that had been the goal behind the Mayor's murder, and the claiming of the title had been a much more last-minute decision, encouraged by those who encouraged the shift in power.
Either way, with the inexplicable darkness that descended and the way that he had drowned without a single person touching him, the other residents gave her a second name as they celebrated. When she took on the title of Mayor, she also took on the second name of Shadeslinger, first of her House.
