Valence

One of the portal-hoppers. Is trying to investigate a (apparently) permanent portal in ruins frm the crashed land in the island. Is struggling cuz animals. Claims to have learn how to travel with portals by a shapeshifter god.

Where they come from is unknown, they don't wanna talk altho they have mentioned being from ashtara. One time, while being drunk, they apparently mentioned being rescued by a shapeshifter god, who took care of their wounds and taught them how to control Iphars' wild magic and how to travel through portals.

They can be nowadays found around the Kliras archipelago, specially on the Floating Kaghiz town. They seem to do expeditions to the Ithetalia islands constantly and people tend to see them beaten up and wounded, but they claim they are doing great progress and that the next time they'll be able to cross the portal. They have been claiming that for a year now.

Ashtarians tend to be wary of Valence, as they only seem to cause problems and randomly appear wounded and beaten up in places, asking help and leaving before being fully healed or before explaining what happened. Ipharians in general are confused when meeting Valence.

They seem to be able to control Iphars' magic more than others, but not always. There have been cases where people saw Valence cast a spell and the spell do nothing yet their crystal necklace quickly go from not desprending any light to cast a blinding light that yeets Valence a couple of meters from where they were standing.

They don't seem to have a social group. People haven't really seen someone who Valence might be close enough to call a friend, nor a creature that they might call a pet. THey keep insisting Echo is their friend, yet no one heard Echo talk about Valence.
