Asaridat

Iphars is being reworked! Please bear with me!

Magic rocks in the land that crashed into island. allows to open portals. Why dangerous? dunno? maybe previously mentioned animals defend it?

These hexagonal spheres (sometimes more oval than spheric) of matte colours ranging from greens to browns are found in the Ithetalia island, in the middle of the ruins that fell from the sky. they are fairly common in the ruins but haven't seen outside the island (except if an ashtarian arrived to Iphars with one of them on their power).

In Ashtara they were used as magic channeler and arcane focus; when combined with other stones, it could also work as a storage for magic or spells. In Iphars, their utility seems to hav echanged. So far, in Iphars, these stones seem to be able to activate artifical portals as well as being able to control ever so slightly magic when it goes wild.

WHen used to open a portal, the crystal will mantain it open for a certain amount of time based on how big the crystal is. Once the portal closes, the crystal will break into a thousand pieces, losing all its power.

When the crystal is in the power of someone who's magic turned wild, the spell might be absorved by the crystal ratehr than causing the wild magic. The crystal, with the magic absorbed, will be a delicated time-bomb. As soon as it is hit, it will explode, causing a wave of magic that can corrupt its surroundings.

Since the crystal has become such a danger when in Iphars and its obtaining is difficult and danger, it is recommended against its uses and commercialization, and all samples going around the world (outside the Ithetalia island) are being requisitioned by the government on the floating islands, giving a monetary compensation.
