Orokeh grenades
Orokeh grenades come in a variety of shapes and sizes, each having a slightly different effect upon impact. While the Orokeh know their grenades upon sight they have had multiple mishaps with other species mistaking the weapons for fruit. A notable incident occurred with a Terran biting into a flashbang grenade after bemoaning how much they missed the "dragon fruit" of their home world. The incident is notable in that the grenade went off with no casualties.
Orokeh tend to keep their grenades out of reach for this very reason. Too many other species have tried to consume the fruit like weapons for them to be safely displayed, a precaution the Orokeh spread to all weapons after an incident with a plasma gun and an excited Kin.
Orokeh grenades resemble edible fruit likely due to the fact that many of them are grown, making large areas of their farmlands off limits to other species. Airial tours give clear view to orchards of dark purple plasma grenades growing in clusters atop broad fungal structures. The long yellow sulfuric acid grenades were remarked upon as resembling a fruit called a "banana" from the Terran home world. The tiny green glowing electrical grenades used to disrupt computer systems appear indistinguishable from the yillian fruit cultivated by the Eos.
The Orokeh have grown, synthesized or otherwise crafted grenades for nearly every purpose. The large orange pockmarked laughter grenades being a favorite among the Kin and a scourge to the Tamorins. The mauve egg-shaped grenades were outlawed in Coalition space after they were discovered to emit a gas that made many species more agreeable and was toxic to the Ik-tek-na.
Orokeh trading outposts are now clearly marked as Coalition safe or not, allowing for easier trade between the entities and species. Coalition safe trading posts do not carry any outlawed items in exchange for the trading posts being in Coalition territory. For the truly dangerous, and outlawed, items one must travel to an Orokeh planet though much can be found at their trading posts outside of Coalition space.
