The Calri Ascendancy Myth in Gigornous | World Anvil

The Calri Ascendancy

The Calri Ascendancy is a myth perpetrated by the Calri that Pure Tirinids are a lesser species than the Calri and not that the Calri are a byproduct of Falrinite injections. Newly created Calri loyalists are required to affirm The Calri Ascendancy with an oath. Ironically, calling it an ascension means that they were at the same level as the Tirinids. Nevertheless, this myth is believed by many Tirinids unless they listen to the Monks. For this reason, the Calri ruthlessly hunt down any Monks they can find.

Summary

TaroNazdria created the Halorics and the Nazdria and then the Calri and last of all in both value and order: the Tirinids.

Historical Basis

There is no basis for these claims for Tirinidic Calri. For Nazdrian Calri, they were made first but that is based on order of sequence not in terms of value. Even so, they gladly stretched the truth for their own advantage.

Spread

This myth has a firm grip in Tirin Prime and the closer regions. The farther continents have heard the myth but it holds less firm there. This is why the Tirin Emperor is working towards bringing the outlying colonies more under his direct control through the Patriot units.

In Literature

Any recordings found denying the Calri Ascendancy whether paper or digital or stone carry the death penalty for whoever is found in their possession. This has led to some planting fake evidence and calling the Calri Enforcer Units to destroy an enemy or rival.

In Art

Art promoting this myth show Calri in power usually by themselves any Tirinid art must label Calri as superior and have a Calri in the artwork.
Date of First Recording
Fifty years before Ikiini Darkwing took power, The Calri Ascendancy document outlining Calri superiority began to be widely circulated.
Date of Setting
According to the document, the Ascendancy took place immediately when TaroNazdria created all species. The Calri willingly believed this lie for their own gain.
