Calri Loyalty Staff

Calri Loyalty Staffs are the weapon and badge of office for Calri Patriot models and Royal Guardsman units. These weapons are extensions of the Tirin Emperor's will.

Utility

When combined with a Peace Keeping Field, it amplifies or reduces whatever emotion the Calri desire. This can be resisted but is very difficult.
Used as crowd control the staffs are coated in Ta'Falia dust to increase the durability and lightweightedness for combat use.
When a Calri is struck by a glancing blow they are temporarily put under the control of the Patriot unit that hit them. The more time the staff is applied the more permanent the takeover. Particularly reprehensible Calri can be fully converted to the mechanical with a Loyalty Staff if impaled.  For a pure Tirinid or Nazdria, the control is always temporary. This has led some loyalist Calri to misuse their authority and take a meddlesome Tirinid and make them a Calri just to convert them to a fully mechanical fully subservient Calri Drone.

Social Impact

The Loyalty Staffs have kept peace and order in the Tirin Empire and work alongside Peace Keeping Fields and Mobile Peace Keeping Generators to pacify or amplify emotions of the citizenry. This impacts society in helping law abiding citizens stay safe from rebels and keeps uncontrolled Calri and Tirinids wary of overstepping their bounds. Privately, their use is abhorrent but no such concerns can safely be said in the open.

Inventor(s)

Ikiini Darkwing invented the first Calri Loyalty Staff. It was originally intended to replicate Calavent's Silver Staff to grant wealth. This intention eventually was overshadowed and replaced by Falrinitic cloning.
When Ikiini first began working on the staff he found it became attuned to him. Upon striking a dueling partner he found that the dueling partner no longer resisted him and obeyed him completely. This first staff later became the Relic known as "The Scepter of Eighty Thrones" after the Reformation of Gigornous. Ikiini increased the power of the first Loyalty Staff and made lesser staffs to be used by his Royal Guardsmen and Patriots.

Access & Availability

How to activate the staff and attune it to an individual is a coveted secret that the revolutionary forces would like to aquire and reverse engineer. Only Calri Royal Guardsman, Council Guards, Iljrain, and Patriot models are using Loyalty Staffs. Each staff is subservient to the Emperor's staff.

Complexity

Calri Loyalty Staffs are built using Falrinite Ka'Huun crystals as the power source and a combination of silver and steel. They are also coated in Ta'Falia dust.

Discovery

Ikiiini Darkwing discovered his original creation didn't do as intended. During a sparring match he decided to use the first Loyalty Staff thinking that it was useless for making wealth and instead found a new use.
