Ritual

When a follower of Gruumsh comes of age, he will not be considered a man until he has fought and won the ceremony. He will fight 3 other boys, in a set area. The area is large, travelling from side to side often takes over a day. 

The boys have to strip down and handed a new set of clothes. No weapons and no items are allowed to be brought into the arena which is not known ahead of time for anyone not part of the Elders. Usually, these ceremonies last a few days, but at times they last longer. At the 2 week mark, is when the terrain size is reduced by starting a wildfire. The area is reduced this way, and hiding will no longer serve a purpose.

One person will be left alive, the rest are killed.

There are no rules, with the exception that only 1 can become a man. If one returns early to the village, claiming to be victor when there are more boys alive, the first one to return will be tortured until death.

Son of the boss

Should the son of the current leader be partaking in this ritual, then up to 7 other boys may join into this ritual. The future leader must be strong and able to fight through the ritual, Or he would not be considered a true and strong leader. If he is instead killed, then whomever is the victor of the ritual will from that point on considered to be the son of the leader. 

After

When the ritual is completed, the sole survivor shall be considered a man henceforth. He will from that point on be allowed to choose a wife, and start a family. He will also be expected to partake in raids and attacks.  They are allowed a period of rest. Up to 4 weeks they are given, and are provided for. After that, they are expected to start work again and provide with them for their village, by hunting, farming and other various tasks.
