Bearism

The religion followed by our druid, Dory  The bearismers are an odd bunch. They have a slightly weird set of customs, not in the least that they're massive fans of bears. Not just shaping into them, but also taking care of them, feeding them, and also worshipping them. They, in short, are true worshippers in every way shape and form of bears.

Mythology & Lore

Before the great calamity and the sundering, when the gods walked on the earth and before mystra was reborn and banned magic, Ruad⁣  walked the earth. He saw that a bear was nursed to health by an unknown druid, and that this druid was about to be ambushed by a group of bandits. He fought them off, but it took him all his strength.   Nursing him back to health, the druid named Farric saw the strength within Ruad⁣. Spreading the word about this one bear started to gather him more and more followers.

Tenets of Faith

Save the wildlife whenever and wherever you can.   Do not use nor abuse animal life whenever avoidable.

Granted Divine Powers

They are able to control the growing of natural barriers as well as naturally grown houses and abodes.

The descendants of Farric still rule the Bearism, and have since gathered a solid amount of worshippers for Ruad (person)  . It all started off so small. A tiny group of followers would nurish Ruad back to health, and he would provide for them. He would guide them to wounded animals, to sites that were invaded by human kind. Nourishing the wildlife, protecting these sites, growing back where nature was damaged, aided Ruad in regaining his strength. The wildlife was a strong force.    Some days were easier than others. The followers would never eat meat, and would rather starve than to kill for meat. Nuts and plants were the every day meal that they would eat. Even these days, that is still the case. However it is not a bland dinner, if anything the variety is huge. They never want, there is always enough.    After many years of guiding his followers in person, Ruad had gathered a fairly large and most importantly, a dedicated flock of worshippers. At the old age of 149 years old, Ruad was grey and weary. Still, he would go out into the forest every single day to help his worshippers.
Then on april 4th, a large hunting party had gathered to hunt for game. A group, consisting of easily 15 hunters, had gathered near the outskirts of the forest. Armed with axes, machetes, and 2 sorcerers, they would make their way into the forest. Although strong, the druids were little match for these hunters who seemed to have their eyes set on a prize. A large conflict followed, ending with the death of many druids.
As he stood upon his hind legs, he let out a thunderous roar. The sky split open with a crack, as lightning started to strike the area where the invaders stood. Where they one were, there now was just ashe. The remaining druids looked upon the disaster area that remained, with the ashes of what was once a great location.   The faith his followers had in Ruad, and his selfless acts had gathered in him a Divine Spark. He had slowly but surely gathered bits of it thanks to his followers and his last act to save his own people, he ascended into a lesser deity.
