The most common sapient species in Fillimet, humans have permanently colonized all continents except Igoris. They have no innate magical advantages, although they do possess greater physical strength than average, resulting in a reliance upon teamwork for their success and survival. As a society they are also skilled at learning from mistakes, either their own or the mistakes of others. Predominantly-human societies are effective at pulling creatures together for a common cause or good, or driving them apart through fear and greed.

Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Civilization and Culture

Beauty Ideals

Beauty ideals are varied and frequently at odds depending upon the values of a culture. Muscle tone is admired where strength is required due to living conditions or wars. Larger girth is considered an attractive sign of wealth in areas where food is scarce. Those with ethnic traits or accents unusual to an area are frequently considered to have a foreign kind of beauty which many find alluring and mysterious. Some find knowledge to be an endearing trait. Beauty among humans is a trait generally hard to define but easy for each individual to recognize in others.

Common Dress Code

Human clothing varies depending upon culture, ethnicity, and climate. Generally it is required that a human cover their more personal body parts, but the methods used to do so are highly varied and sometimes deeply personal.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Humans tend to fall into two camps, those who are distrustful of other races and those who accept the strengths brought to a society by the variety of races. These mentalities seem to be passed down from parent to child rather than through societal beliefs.   In other cases an individual will develop a particular standing against another race based upon obtaining or maintaining power and will work to convert others to this viewpoint to solidify their power base. Fear of a race can also be overturned through an understanding of that race and the development of friendships with individuals within that race.
