Ravenblade Deadeye

When Kavek Elinris first brought together the Shael Mohgin, he envisioned a mercenary company capable of handling almost any battlefield threat. Many companies focus on one kind of warrior or one specific style of fighting. Elinris believed a fighting force capable of tackling any problem would make the Shael Mohgin more independent and stand out to those wishing to purchase their services.   It turns out that Elinris was correct. The original Shael Mohgin went to war with a large contingent of Executioners, a solid block of Shugrush, and a healthy number of men and women trained in a relatively new weapon to the Faelers, the crossbow.   Again and again, the crossbow proved its worth on the battlefields of the Del Kamai crusade. The heavily armored Traazorites could be felled from a distance by the powerful bolts of the new weapon. Their armor, once feared by foes around Faelon, could now be overcome.   Mastering the crossbow proved to be easy, but procuring bolts for the weapon was costly, especially the farther from Thormenal the Crusade took them. It was a relatively new weapon and few fletchers were making bolts for it. To circumvent supply issues, Elinris hired fletchers that would work for the Shael Mohgin to keep a steady supply of crossbow bolts in the stores. It was worth the extra payroll.   The crossbow continues to be an effective weapon in the hands of the former Shael Mohgin. Those who carry it are known as Deadeyes because of their proficiency and accuracy. The Ravenblades have benefited greatly from the Deadeyes proficiency with the crossbow, giving them an extra punch on the battlefield against heavily armored foes. No armor is safe from the deadly precision of their bolts.
