Militia Spearman
Haradelan Militia are the “day to day” local constabulary force, preserving order and keeping watch at the gate and walls. They
maintain their fighting skills and practice under the instruction of an Apprentice Knight in case of war. The lord whom they serve provides them with their equipment and pay to support their families for the periods of their duty. This pay is increased if they leave their ward to fight beyond the walls. Militia who accompany a Questing Knight receive monies to support their families for the duration of their quest, a promise of a percentage of any treasure, and a pension if they are crippled or die.
