Krotus of Ideralis - Thormenal
Archon Krotus
Currently the Archon of the League of Thormenal, Krotus has only a tenuous grip on power. Elected by drumming up a scandal involving his chief rival, he won based on the best choice available and not based on the strongest network of support. Fortunately, he is clever enough to know the boundaries of his power and has not overestimated himself. He seeks to build the support he did not have before the election, using his position as Archon to his advantage. Thus, when he returns to the status of Elector, he plans to be widely liked and have allies in every corner of the League. Backward, yes, but Krotus is a player of the long game.
Krotus is the owner of Ayandar Rivercraft, known throughout the League as the maker of the finest river-going vessels available. He can trace his lineage to the conquest of Thormenal from the Empire when Ideralis was a sprawling riverport but not yet a great walled city. His ancestors founded the family business and have been master rivermen ever since. His business is certain to profit from his time as Archon, but he is also genuinely interested in the betterment of Ideralis and the League as a whole.
