Each of Falkaar’s Dukes and Barons keeps a cadre of knights in their service. The Knight Defenders are the guardians of the Royal Gate in Baramar and attend the King and Crown Prince directly. Some are sent on detached duty to study foreign armies or the fighting ways of the Tribes.
