Herenfir - Trilian Character in Faelon | World Anvil

Herenfir - Trilian

Chief Enforcer Herenfir

The enforcers are a secretive and shadowy group of Trilian that protect their countrymen who are on their Wandering or on other business outside of Trilias.   Their leader, Herenfir, The Hunter Prince, is the epitome of his organization’s secretive nature and grim determination. Rarely seen but always present, Herenfir coldly and dispassionately carries out his age-old charge for his countrymen.   Like most of his fellow Trilians, Herenfir is slight of build. What truly sets him apart however is his incredible height. Standing a head above most others, Herenfir is truly imposing.   Herenfir was born in the reaches to a family of herders. He was naturally inclined to hunt and became well known as a tracker amongst his people. After sixteen seasons he was recruited into the Enforcers and became one of the most successful of their kind.   While rising through the ranks Herenfir was noted not only for his ferocious determination while doing his job but also for the innovation he showed in doing it.   He began placing Enforcers along the major routes taken by those Trilians on their Wanderings. These “sleeper” Enforcers, living amongst their people, gave food and shelter to their countrymen, acted as a waypoint as they were on their Wandering, and were already in place to carry out their actual Enforcer jobs when the time came.   Herenfir finds his job becoming more difficult as Faelon becomes a more dangerous place. While there is still relative peace between the nations, border conflicts and small-scale wars are becoming more common.   Herenfir finds more and more of his job becoming political. He hires Freebands from other nations only to produce outcomes in regional and local conflicts that help him in his job as chief enforcer.
