Byblos
Like its sister city, Tyros, Byblos's founding hails to lost antiquity. Men lived within its walls even during the forgotten Time of Nyx.
Now, the city is ruled by the Arabus Dynasty, which recently united by marriage with the Epaphusian Dynasty of Tyros.
A spring lies within the city walls, in a crater accessible by a winding staircase around its perimeter. The surface of the spring lies some twenty feet below street level. Local legend claims the spring is bottomless, for none have ever managed to swim to the end.
The city also features a sprawling necropolis where kings have been buried since the Time of Nyx. Beyond the necropolis, demarcated by a field of obelisks, lies the Lodge of Whispers, a cave temple complex that serves as a base to the Circle of Goetic Mysteries and thus is the most feared location in Byblos.
Defences
The city features a wall of moderate strength. However, the population has grown since the ancient wall was built, and many inhabitants have moved outside the protection of the walls. Numerous markets and tenements dot the so-called Outer City.
Industry & Trade
Byblos's location has allowed it to develop extensive trade with Helion.
