Argos
Argos is a major polis located in southwestern Elládos. Unlike most poleis in Elládos, no walls protect Argos, which has always relied on the fearsome reputation of its warriors for defense.
The city lies upon the banks of the Bomycas river. The acropolis above the city is dedicated to Hera, the legendary founder of the polis. North of the acropolis lies the forum.
Argosians are famous for their physical beauty—partly because Argosian culture compels parents to throw out imperfect babies.
Defences
Argos uses the Krypteia—a secret police force of young men—to patrol the countryside, hunting bandits and keeping slaves too scared to revolt.
Additionally, Argos maintains a standing army, one of the few in all Elládos. All free men must serve the army.
History
According to legend, either Hera herself founded Argos, or her disciples founded it in her honor some two centuries after the Titanomachy. The city has remained continuously inhabited since then. The Tethids have long composed the aristoi of Argos.

Argos in the Titan Era represents of fusion of historical Argos and of the city of Sparta.
