Smearing

You smear the blood used in the casting over a surface and study it. You immediately learn whether you have smeared blood from the same creature before and when the last time you smeared the blood was. You may only use the blood from a single creature for the material component of this spell. If you used blood mixed from different creatures, the spell fails.
