Locate Entity
Describe or name an entity that is familiar to you, such as a creature, an object, or a plant. You sense the direction to the entity’s location if that entity is within 2,000 feet of you. If the entity is in motion, you know the direction of its movement.
The spell can locate a specific entity known to you if you have seen it up close—within 30 feet—at least once. Alternatively, the spell can locate the nearest entity of a particular kind, such as a certain kind of humanoid, beast, tree, jewelry, or weapon.
This spell can’t locate an object if any thickness of lead blocks a direct path between you and the object.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The detection range increases by 1,000 feet for each spell slot level above 2. If you cast the spell with a 9th level spell slot, you can sense the object's location anywhere on your plane.
