Map of Elesya
The Dragon Ruins, once referred to as the Heart of Elesya, sits in somewhat the center of the lands. A neutral, magically charged portion of land sandwiched between the neighboring kingdoms. The area as a whole is a mixture of rolling plains and mound-like mountains storing massive tunnel systems that work themselves in a tangled maze beneath the surface. Many of tunnels have collapsed, creating most of what is the "rolling" fields. Some of the caverns that have collapsed created openings in the earth separate to the numerous cave entrances.
The Kingdom of Gormlaith is a warm, humid, sea side kingdom located on the western side of Elesya. They are most prominently known for their strong Navy and vast fleet of ships, but are also widely know as the leading exporters of fish in Elesya. They are, by no means, the wealthiest kingdom in Elesya. The majority of the citizens in Gormlaith are often fisher(wo)men or Naval officers. Those who don't become either of those trades work within the markets in their shops, often becoming crafts people of fishing gear such as spears, nets and such things. Gormlaith also harbors a fair amount of Magic Users, who do not wish to reside in Cathair, due to its close proximity to the Magic Council.
Lymoria is located below and among the Lymorian peaks and is known for its long, harsh winters and short, cool summers. The primary trade good is precious gems that can be found within the mining system that goes deep into the mountains. The palace and most of the inhabitants can be found right at the base of the mountains, and this is also where the largest percentage of Lymoria's population resides. In addition to the prized gems and stones they possess, the Lymorian Empire is also well known for the magic users who wander within its walls.
At least half the land is covered in lush and fantastical forestry, the western portions riddled with creeks which lend it to seeming far more like a rainforest. It is by far, the largest wooded area in all of Elesya and not all that welcoming to all who reside in Elesya. In all of its beauty, it is a fierce protection to the Land of the Fae from the neighboring kingdoms along the eastern borders. The fair folk live mostly within the forests and small field civilizations, relying on the land for shelter and food by way of villages among the tree canopies or small mounds of earth dug out to make homes. The west end of Eiphyne is a sea of rolling hills that reach the coastline that is littered with cliffs and drop-offs.
The Sutherlands is the ruled and inhabited by predominately elven races and is separated into five kingdoms. Each kingdom has it's own trades, specialties and unique features. The Elves have lived a long time within this world and have thrived within their lands as separate kingdoms working together to create peace within the lands and harmony with the Sutherlands. The kingdoms share and prosper together as a whole. For each kingdom there is a ruler to guide and command the people of their own land as they work in their specific trades. The Haf kingdom is known for Weapons making. The Ingvarian Kingdom is known for their battle oriented lifestyles and tactics that protect the four kingdoms. Ilkain is know for the knowledge they seek out in the stars and of magic runes they study. The Hammurabian Kingdom is known for their skill in mastering the magics of the lands and using it to heal and protect their sister kingdoms. The fifth Aisling Kingdom is less well known but what many do hear of is their spiritual magic and auras. Together they thrive and work for the survival of their home and the future of their people.
A rugged terrain strife with careening drop-offs and cliffs as well as roving predators. There is very little actual civilizations of Vyrador that aren't underground beneath the rocky protection of the mountains. Beneath the highest peak in the mountain range lies the capital city of the Dwarves, Ordenfar, there are rumors of the beauty of this massive subterranean city spread throughout Elesya. The streets are literally paved with gold at least in the upper city anyway, which is the part of the city where the master craftsmen, government, as well as the guilds reside. All travelers to Ordenfar enter here as long as they are not being brought in to work the mines or as a servant. The upper city consists of a massive hand carved cavern that stands over one hundred stories tall and thirteen miles wide with various blocks of buildings that surround the Heart of the Mountain Pillar.
