Curiosity of their SurroundingsAllurane are naturally curious and seek to learn about everything they can around them. This often leads them explore around their little area of the woods. Despite this, Allurane almost never encounter other races, and live their entire lives without ever having met another intelligent being. However, when they do meet humanoids, they are driven to learn whatever they can about them and live among them. Humans often enjoy the fellowship of something so rare, and learning from them as well. Wood elves are the moot common race they find, and integrate very well into their society. Gnomes who live in the forests are also very curious about this strange new humanoid they have come across.
HermaphroditesAllurane are hermaphrodites, being born as both male and female, and capable of reproducing asexually or even with other races. This almost always leads to more children of the other race. Being in this unique position, Allurane in the wild often don't look like either gender, but in civilization they almost always choose to become one gender. over a period of roughly a month, Allurane go through a slow metamorphosis that changes them physically into a certain gender.
Guardians of NatureHaving been born from it, and with a strong influence from Lora, almost every Allurane has a love for nature. They rarely do harm to it, and if they must its often for the betterment of nature. Allurane who come into contact with civilization can teach them about the importance of not disturbing nature too much, and that it can heal very quickly. Chlorophyll. As long as you have access to the open sky, fresh air and fresh water, you do not need to eat. You can absorb air through your skin, allowing you to hold your breath for up to 30 minutes. You do not bleed blood like other races, rather you bleed green water, a mixture of water and chlorophyll. Mask of Nature. You can attempt to hide even only lightly obscured by foliage. Plant Connections. You can cast speak with plants once, regaining the ability to use it with this trait after finishing a long rest. At 3rd level, you learn the thorn whip cantrip, and can cast with with no material components. At 5th level, you can cast plant growth once using this trait, and regain the ability to do so after finishing a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting modifier for these spells. Resident of Nature. Thanks to living in nature for a lot of your life, you have proficiency in the Nature skill.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common, Sylvan, and one other language of your choice. Sylvan is the language of nature and the fey, often used when speaking with plants. Allurane also tend to learn the languages they need to get by in whatever culture they live in.
