The Moon Gate

The Moon Gate of Aventiana is one of the largest and most impressive moon gates found worldwide. Like all moon gates it functions as a gateway to other moon gates, the past and the future (at certain times of the year) and can be utilised for different spells of elven origin. The gate gets its name from its circular shape. It is made out of magestone or Kyraphane, which liekly gives it its properties, though it is unclear if the gate is imbued with other arcane magic. What is clear, is that deities do not take interest in it or use it.
The city of Aventiana, devout of allegiance to any nation, has formed around the gate over the centuries and remains and important city to this day. Every day around the moon gate of Avantiana is an adventure as one never knows what could jump out next. Mostly it is people lost in teleports, but every other week Aventiana gains a visitor from another plane, and sometimes - unfortunately - visitors of the unwanted kind. The Lord Vindicator of The Ordained Guardians of the Bond has recently stationed a large garrison in Aventiana for this reason and commissioned a large project to build barracks and a center for his knights to gain control of the situation and, likely, the gate. While the moon gate has been built by the High Elves of old, the city of Aventiana does not claim any rulership over the gate and exists only to govern the city. Likely out of fear of such a responsibility, so far no one has tried to find a regulated use for the gate and its effects and consequences, making, the Ordained the first to try.
