Some Severed are simply born without a link to the monoduga hive mind. They are considered outcasts by many, but they have never experienced anything different.

Elario is one of the unlucky ones. He grew up as part of the hive mind, foregoing childhood education as other species would understand it in favour of simply absorbing collective knowledge from his people. Then he was severed from it. Despite being a talkative person when he wants to be, he never talks about the event that left him cut off from his own people.

To add to the mystery, 'Elario' isn't a monoduga name, and is likely one that he picked up when reinventing himself in Chezri

Leaving Monyus, as many Severed end up doing, he now spends most of his time in Kolkuzhn, either drinking the days away, fornicating the nights away, or paying for both of those hobbies by being Kolkuzhn's resident handyman.
