Isolia is known as the Lonely Island Paradise among circles of travelers, and it certainly lives up to its name.

Geographic Location

Isolia is a medium-sized island located roughly 1,000 kilometers off the coast of Rothos. Isolia is directly South-Southeast from the city of Helemia, making Helemia a common take-off point for those travelling to Isolia.

Geography

The island of Isolia is known far and wide for the pink-ish hued, sandy beaches that make up over 20% of the island. The roughly 80% of the island that's left is made up of jungles, a rare sight in the area. The reason for Isolia's geographically strange warmth is a combination of the warm-water currents that converge near the island and the magical ore that is found in plentiful quantities on the island.

Flora and Fauna

Isolia is home to flora and fauna that would be alien in comprison to that on the mainland of Rothos. The flowers that bloom on this island are vibrant enough to put a rose to shame, and the long-beaked hummingbirds that flit among them are equally as vibrant, but with added iridescence.

Protected

Most of the jungle of Isolia is protected by decree of the government of Rothos. The decree states that mining operations, logging operations, and other operations that would impact the island's ecosystem on a large scale were prohibited from occuring on Isolia.
This decree came about after a large-scale reconstruction effort that took place immediately after a hurricane and tsunami which impacted the island.
