The Scaled Enigma

In the mist where shadows creep,
Lurks a creature, dark and deep.
With scales like twilight, cold and sleek,
It hides in silence, never meek.

A flicker moves beneath the fog,
A whisper carried like a fog.
It dances softly, a phantom glide,
In depths where light and reason bide.

Each scale reflects a thousand eyes,
Glimmers of truths and tangled lies.
They pulse like hearts, alive, aware,
Enticing you to linger there.

A curious touch invites despair,
For beneath the surface, secrets tear.
With every brush, a memory lost,
A price to pay for what it cost.

And as you gaze into its sheen,
The world grows dim, the air turns keen.
You’ll find your voice is lost, confined,
Bound in the scales, forever entwined.
