Body Features

A tall and voluptuous female kitsune with long blue hair stretching down to her lower back like a curtain over the right side of her head and two tails that she often hides as one tail while in her public persona

Kitsune Magic

Silent Fox is well versed in illusions and protective magic, such as preventing others from seeing into her mind. She is also capable of disguising herself as a random object.

Blinking

A form of teleportation, Silent Fox is capable of 'blinking' from one spot to another up to 40 feet. She can use this at the same time as her suit is enabling her to stand on any surface.

Kitsune Physiology

Silent fox possesses a higher strength, speed, and durability than that of the average kitsune, having trained her body to its peak and with the aid of the suit.

Chime Talisman Magic

Armed with chime talismans, Silent Fox uses a choice of warding, sound manipulation, and sealing magics to bind powerful opponents, lure others away, and alert her to approaching individuals.

Shinobi Arts

Silent Fox can create body doubles of herself, disappear instantly, and move about undetected without issue.

Shin no Shi

The deadliest technique of Silent Fox, acting as a double edged sword - focusing on her inner being, Silent Fox is able to trap others in a personal space of up to thirty feet and bind them within it, rendering them motionless and powerless. At that moment, every stroke of her blade harms all who she has trapped within. This lasts at most 30 seconds. After which, Silent Fox is rendered exhausted, having pushed herself to the brink of death itself.

Specialized Equipment

Muramasa Mk.II

A tempered katana with self sharpening capabilities, vibration technology built into the hilt and blade and heat generator built into its sheathe, Silent Fox achieved this blade after saving a pair of brothers who swore that they would develop weapons for her as payment. The first Muramasa, however, did not last long in her hands; instead, the second blade, The Mk.II, was crafted more carefully and durable to fit her standards.

Kusanagi No Tsurugi

Used as a means of combating supernatural creatures and those who use magical powers, Silent Fox treats the blade as a Bokken, never unsheathing it. It's untold power bends the will of Yokai to the wielder's command and severs one's connection with the magical forces for a set amount of time.

The Silent Fox Suit

A powerful piece of technology that saved her life, the silent fox suit enhances Silent Fox's physical abilities by a great margin, enables regenerative properties, allows her to generate tools such as shuriken, and generates a personal field that enables her to walk and run on any surface.

Personal history

A Child Without Love

Born the first daughter of the Ayashi Clan's leader, Atashi, Kija's life was bound to her clan's duties the moment she could stand and walk. Under her mother's watchful eye, such things as love and affection became trivial and unnecessary, breaking her early of any 'needs' for her mother's love - she instead sought her respect.
At such a young age, designated children of the Ayashi clan are chosen to participate in a series of tests they are prepared six months in advance for - unlike the other children of the clan, Kija held a great understanding of what was at stake than the rest and pushed herself to her limits with every passing day during the six months of training. Sleepless nights, bruised and fatigued, and pain wherever she could feel it - none of it mattered so long as she achieved a greater stand than before.
At the end of the six months, the other children became intimidated by their fellow participant, brimming with determination - and perhaps competition as well. In a series of physical tests, from strength to agility, the others had become but a blur to her in her efforts - all that mattered to her was achieving the respect she desired. Standing triumphantly at the end, she awaited her mother to reward her with the respect she deserved.
And wound up with none. Her mother informed her that pride has no bearing with her - she should have focused on self respect than seek the respect of others. She would live by those words of wisdom.

Training as an Ayashi Shinobi

The six months of training had led her up to begin her true training as a guardian of the Ayashi Clan - A shinobi. Once more, she found herself under her mother's watchful eye as she was brought into the challenges of being a warrior of the shadows yet none of which became too difficult for the young kitsune.
Ninpō and the eighteen skills that were covered beneath it took a great deal of time for the young kitsune as she never accepted a minimum to her ability. Spanning decades over the eighteen skills until the utmost mastery had been in her grasp, the young kitsune hadn't noticed that her tail had finally grown in - living by her mothers words, however, she would not let herself be overcome with pride.
Her physical abilities were finally where she wanted them to be and her mother and peers agreed as such. But her training was far from complete - she would next be brought up into the mystical arts of Furin magic, or chime magic. The Ayashi clan dedicated to the study and development of such magic through wind chimes - differing by design and tune - and enabled them to use them for multiple purposes. Having spent so long, however, on honing her physical abilities, mystical ones came as a difficult aspect for Kija and would take another few decades of mastery.

The Vow

With two tails behind her, Kija stood among those she grew up with over the many years, ready to become fully fledged shinobi of the Ayashi clan. There, however, came one final test for the shinobi-to-be; to become true shinobi of the clan, Atashi commanded each of them to choose a vow that they would live by until the day of their demise - if they had ever broken their vow, they would forever be banished from the Ayashi clan and never return.
One by one, her fellow kitsune chose their vows - some perhaps meager and some perhaps borderline impossible, bounding them for failure later on - until finally her mother stood before her, expecting her vow. It was one she had to contemplate yet be quick to choose with her mother's eyes upon her - a vow worthy enough of the title shinobi.
She made her choice - The Vow of Silence; she would never use her voice for as long as she lived. And for the first time in her life, her mother smiled upon her - she had earned her respect

The Affliction

Yet she had not broken herself of her pride as her third tail grew in and thought herself greater than all those whom she had trained with; then came a day when she encountered her first enemy intruding upon the Ayashi territory - a red oni. With weapons in hand, Kija boldly set out to dispatch the oni to show all that her training had brought her up to.
But she had not known the power of the oni - the distinct differences between blue and red oni being that one had been far more powerful than the other - and entered a bloody skirmish with the oni as their weapons clashed, destroying the woods around them; kegare seeped from the oni with every breath and every movement and, at last - making a terrible mistake as her blade narrowly missed him - the kegare swept over her as the oni's kanabo came crashing down on her third tail.
Such a jolt enabled her to lash out with a quick and fatal blow, dispatching the oni, yet she paid no heed to her the state of her tail; she was only interested in speaking of her glorious kill over the oni. She had only made it half way to the temple when she collapsed to the ground - the kegare was already overwhelming her as it consumed her tail; failing to purify herself, at the rate it had been accumulating, it would completely consume her.
Suddenly, an agonizing pain overwhelmed her as she felt the sting of thin steel pass through her tail; standing behind her, Atashi clutched her daughter's severed tail and immediately sealed it in a ring of powerful sutras. Her tail would be kept in a sealed case, warded as well from all who would try to open it and serve as a reminder of the dangers of kegare.
And the dangers of pride.

The duty of the Ayashi

Within the clan, only the temple maidens were allowed within the temple itself and the shinobi were not allowed within, this much Kija knew and accepted without question. Yet it did make her curious now and then of what was within the temple itself - what were they guarding and why hide it away in Hokkaido?
Then came the day when the Ayashi clan faced danger in Kija's lifetime - Yokai and Oni alike sought to enter the temple and take from what was ever within it. The young shinobi held her own but, watching her fellow shinobi fall one after another, was forced to retreat towards the temple where she would make her final stand. It was a grueling battle as yokai and oni alike lay dead around her feet, her armaments broken in her grasp and her body wounded from head to toe - the temple maidens regarded her as 'Atashi's Shadow', an almost complete copy of their leader in skill and tenacity.
Yet Atashi knew the danger was far from over - more supernatural forces and others would come for them again. She would then break the first taboo of the clan - she brought her daughter into the temple. The maidens were ashamed and appalled yet Atashi ignored them as she brought Kija into the main chamber of the temple and shown her what the clan had guarded for centuries.
The Kusanagi No Tsurugi - the blade that fell from Yamata No Orochi.
Atashi explained to her that the duty of the Ayashi clan was to guard the blade from any and all and prevent it from ever being unsheathed, for doing so would doom life itself with Yamata No Orochi's return. She then decreed that Kija would take the Kusanagi No Tsurugi to safer place, away from Hokkaido, away from Japan, as far away as she possibly could from Asia. Voiceless, Kija gave a silent agreement to her mother despite the disagreeing voices of the temple maidens.
With the Kusanagi no Tsurugi in her grasp, she did as she was commanded and fled from Asia to North America.

Meeting Dr. Irisa Sundew

Arriving first in Florida and traveling on foot from state to state and town to town, Kija finally wound up living in Portland, Maine. She developed a second life for herself as a shop owner and clerk for authentic furin over a few years as she guarded the blade in silence, observing a new world before her eyes that was far from the home she once knew.
Her favorite customer, however, was a paraplegic vixen by the name of Irisa Sundew, who would visit her shop whenever she came down from Bar Harbor to Portland; versed in sign language, the two held silent and joyful conversations and began to develop a friendship - one day, however, an armed robber stormed the shop and threatened the two for their money and valuables. Kija had easily dispatched the robber but not before suffering wounds at the robber's weapon of choice - a gun.
Kija would soon face death if left untreated - and Irisa knew that all too well. She hurried as fast as she could to her vehicle and retrieved a strange, locked container, bringing it back into the shop and opening it - Kija, through her pain and slowly blurring sight, managed to see a strange blue suit within the container. Irisa removed a collar attachment from the ensemble and quickly strapped it around Kija's neck - the suit, like liquid rubber, immediately oozed out from the container and spread itself over Kija from her neck to her toes, covering her in the light blue latex; suddenly, a miracle happened - the suit began to heal her.
Irisa introduced herself as a doctor and developer of medical marvels such as the suit that Kija had been wearing - a suit designed to enhance healing and physical capabilities of its wearer. Originally, Irisa had wanted to use the suit to see if she could walk again, but seeing the state of her friend, she found it better to let her use it instead now that it had been synchronized to her DNA.
Silent thanks were exchanged and Kija was left with a thought - even away from japan, the world was still dangerous and required her to be vigilant. With her suit in hand and duty to uphold, Kija bore a name that would terrorize the criminals of Maine and all those who dare try to harm her:
Silent Fox.

Losing a Tail

Having one day found herself afflicted by Kegare, Silent Fox's third tail had been removed from her by the hands of her mother - since then, Atashi has kept her daughter's tail to serve as a reminder to never stray towards the darker powers.

Intellectual Characteristics

Unforgiving

Silent Fox doesn't believe in second chances or granting mercy to her enemies - to allow them to leave only means that they're given the chance to do it again. Her only method she deems fit with dealing with others who try to harm her and those she cares about is with death.

Distant

Unlike with Irisa Sundew, Silent Fox does't seek to put herself anywhere public in the means of being in crowds of people, parties, or any of the like. She prefers the solitude of her store and the quiet of the night.
