Trait: Paizo Inc

Paizo Inc is a company based in Redmond, Washington at the time of writing this, and are responsible for a lot of moving in shaking in the TTRPG space, both before and after the publication of their flagship TTRPG, Pathfinder.   The long and short of it is that Paizo used to be a company that published ttrpg supplemental magazines after their founding, and after having their license revoked to publish for and under the most popular TTRPG of the time (D&D), they pressed on and did their own thing. Said own thing, along with a few minds that helped that game and others stay fun, became the first edition of the Pathfinder TTRPG. This began the long yarn that is Paizo today, with Pathfinder still being a large player in the space. This is rather reductive, and if one wants to know more, they can find such on the wikipedia page.

CHASE and Pathfinder

CHASE is not endorsed by Paizo, nor has the creator of CHASE ever worked for them. That being said, they (as in, I) have sat down with the folk at Paizo a couple times to talk about things for fun, due to the proximity of each other and the fact that many people who work or worked at the company are 'cool'. It is with this in mind that the creator of CHASE is biased and considers the company 'cool' as well.   To that end, CHASE follows the non-commercial fan content policy from Paizo and their games closely, which has afforded CHASE to convert...a lot. Everything that many would find important, while still supporting Paizo financially. To that end:
  1. CHASE is free, as is by design.
  2. References to Golarion in CHASE is Unofficial, and not sponsored or endorsed by Paizo in an official or business sense. Conversions are the result of one spirited fan.
  3. CHASE has no reason to break any agreements made with this or any company. It's a free ttrpg hack that throws a lot of things in 'for fun'. It also couldn't be used commercially even if it wanted to be, as per the Paizo Commercial Agreement, section 5.
  4. CHASE is clean, and will do nothing that will harm Paizo's image.
  5. CHASE and its creator abides by laws, contracts, and agreements set forth. Nothing distinctly Paizo will be available as something that can be traded or transfered via the ORC license, witch such being listed as Licensed Material and Reserved Material.
  6. CHASE is free, as is by design.
