Term: Gender

Gender is a social construct that is, initially, dictated by a creature's sex at birth.

While good enough for some, an advanced reading reveals there's more to it. The ascription to sex at birth isn't always accurate, and although it is fine for many people, it's not quite the same for a few others. Those others, when they are allowed the grace to do so, change themselves to match their gender. And there is nothing wrong with that.

To this end, characters of all genders are equally likely to become adventurers.
